PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE – Construction

   Description:

  • Project representative to support our expanding Land Development, Site Development, and Municipal practices. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience, specifically in land development or heavy civil construction, and has an understanding of the general procedures for installation of pavement, stormwater infrastructure, and underground utilities. Candidate will be responsible for the following: perform daily observations or inspections of all materials and workmanship and communicate deficiencies with the Contractor and Project Engineer, prepare daily reports completely and accurately documenting all work performed before leaving the site, attend various construction meetings in order to fully understand the scope of each project, manage and answer client inquiries and issues, communicate and follow-up, with oral and/or written reports, regarding the progress of the project to the project engineer, project manager and/or developer, as well as identify and present possible solutions to potential project related complications to the project engineer, project manager and/or developer.

  Requirements:

  • BS degree in related field a plus, but not required.
  • At least one (1) year in land development or heavy civil construction.
  • Must have a general knowledge of land development construction practices.
  • Ability to read all specifications, plans, shop files, and submittals.
  • Must be able to interpret and implement company mandated safety policies.
  • Able to work on and meet multiple project schedules simultaneously, task management, concept design, and project management tasks
  • Ability to manage a construction project on a daily basis.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Must have an understanding of survey benchmarks, elevations, and construction staking.
  • Must have an ability to operate a level and have an understanding of cut and fills and elevations for grades.
  • Must know how to scale and measure distances and have basic math skills to compute quantities and costs when requested.
  • Must have proficiency with the handling, management, creation and modification of PDF documents.
  • Must have proficiency with basic Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

PROJECT ENGINEER – Site Development

   Description:

  • Civil Engineer to support our expanding Site Development practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience, specifically, in site civil design, permitting, as well as applicable software applications including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidate will be responsible for managing project tasks, supporting the project manager, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with team members, other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.

   Requirements:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience with a civil engineering consulting firm
  • Able to work on and meet multiple project schedules simultaneously, task management, concept design, assisting project management tasks
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits primarily from The City of Houston to Walker County and all justifications in between
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to prepare plan sets and other construction documents
  • Design experience that includes site layout design, grading, drainage, utilities, plan & profiles, due diligence, and permitting

PROJECT ENGINEER – Land Development

   Description:

  • Civil Engineer to support our expanding Land Development practice. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years experience, specifically, in single-family, multi-family, and master-planned communities, construction cost estimating, permitting, project management, as well as applicable software applications including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidate will be responsible for managing project tasks, supporting the project manager, project design and permitting, construction coordination, and coordinating work with team members, other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.

   Requirements:

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Examination
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience with a civil engineering consulting firm
  • Able to work on and meet multiple project schedules simultaneously, task management, concept design, assisting project management tasks
  • Demonstrate the ability to coordinate project submittals, facilitate regulatory agency approvals, and obtain construction permits primarily from The City of Houston, Harris County, and surrounding counties in the Greater Houston Area
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to prepare plan sets and other construction documents
  • Design experience that includes subdivision and master-planned land development, grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting
